It IS the bottleneck for some profoundly disabled people. MS is cruel and frustrating.
But I agree in general.
Human hands are an enormously versatile GPIO interface iterated over millions of years, well integrated with dedicated hardware in the cerebellum.
And for downloading data, the optic nerve runs at about 20 mbits, massively parallel with dedicated processing neural networks at both ends of the pipe.
Not going to top those, ever, while remaining flesh and blood.
