A fair wage in the United States is $6,000 a week. That was the minimum wage’s value in 1971.

In 1971 after a 40hr work week you could go buy 1.82oz of gold.

Gold was $35 an ounce at the time.

The dollar was still pegged to gold for the majority of 1971.

The Petro dollar was created in August of 1971.
