Proof I met a nostrich today

Old school.
Yeah we turned it up to 11
Helll yeah. It's an extremely rare neve 8078 with insane rock and roll history. This analog board has recorded a ton of the biggest rock and roll breakout albums.
That exact board recorded Nirvana's nevermind. It's got signatures from and laid tracks for Foo fighters (of course - it's their studio), Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, and a shit ton of other legends.
If this board was used by Stevie Nicks then I wonder if it’s the same board that was installed in the studio that was built to record Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk album.
Dude. *This* Never board?
I'm thinking yes. All the pictures look the same too the stuff I was sitting on🤷🏽
I'm a movie nerd not a music nerd🤷🏽
A lot of cool signatures on stuff though.
Posters and albums on the walls.
Props from videos
Things I'm not supposed to talk about, that I only vaguely remember anyway🤷🏽
Haha you're more than welcome to talk abt it! Was just the awards in the hallway, the original masters in the backroom that can't be photographed. There's actually an entire other half of the building with private rehersal studios and Taylor Hawkins' drumset exactly as he left it when he passed away last year.
I started typing what you told me about the MTV award then I deleted it and wrote I'm not sure what I can say 🤣🤣
Ahaha yeah they've got so many awards up there... one of their MTV VMA awards are just chilling in the bathroom next to some toilet paper.
That part!
I want allowed if I could say they use it as functional bathroom art!
Never seen it but I’m definitely going to. I was into all of this stuff in high school. I was such a nerd that I had the operation manual for a SSL board.
I wish I took more pictures for you then.
I only pulled out my phone for a minute and the rest of the time was using the bassists personal camera to get BTS videos of them recording their album.
Amazing artsy shots. Then singing. Playing. Close ups of their finger dexterity.
I took the picture above because you can't not 69 420.🤷🏽
Ahahaha yes that 69 420 is peeeeeerfect!
I'm so excited to see the footage you took. They haven't had time to upload it yet, but with the way you were like laying on the floor getting all the angles and shit... I'm sure it's gonna be 🤌🏽
Bruh you've seen my photography here on Nostr.
You know I'm trying to get you theeee immmaaagggeeeessssssssss
I'm more proud, I think I got some really cool close ups on fingers playing, both the bassist and the guitarist that was recording when you left.
It is a must.
It's a great movie for sure. Absolutely worth a watch if you love rock or music history. Was so surreal to see all that equipment in person knowing the pedigree and history.
Yessir that *exact* board

I like Nirvana🤷🏽
Recording light is finally off after a week of hard work.
The studio sound was unbelievable.. Fingers crossed that The Velvicks will be the next big band to have recorded here!

Ahh sorry no I don't think this exact board recorded Tusk. The board started at sound city and was moved to studio 606 where it resides today. Tusk was recorded at village recorder in studio D. It may have been similar equipment but not the exact board.
