Please offer your opinions on this, but it seems to me the supermajority of women today would prefer to be given a luxury brand diamond engagement ring (Cartier, Tiff & Co, etc) instead of a modest ring with a whole bitcoin dower.

A luxury branded ring obviously doesnt have the appreciation potential of Bitcoin, but it does have appreciation potential - which should be a function of whatever is chosen as the dower.

You can insure a diamond ring, but cannot (yet) insure Bitcoin.
