To state the probably obvious, this website, while linking to the real joinmarket github, and showing an image of the JAM interface, is almost certainly malicious:

(h/t Alex Waltz for reporting on telegram)

(I haven't actually downloaded the (presumably malware) Windows wallet on a VM myself, but .. do NOT do that. Don't download and run any bitcoin wallet without verifying signatures, at absolute minimum).

Hi, I use joinmarket CLI 0.9.9 and for the past few months am unable to coinjoin at all.

I’ve read through PRs 1435, 1436.

Tried to run tumbler for 5-6 times in the past few weeks (30-60 min each attempt).

It gets offers from the pit but there are never enough makers that respond afterwards, so after a few retries I would ctrl-c out of it.

But now, utxos from the starting mixdepth are all marked as ā€œbeen used too many timesā€ and cannot be used again. I am effectively completely unable to coinjoin.

Is this a widespread experience and is there a fix/update in the pipeline maybe?

Love this tool but it has been taken out of commission by all this ā˜¹ļø

Thank you for all your work and any feedback!

That sucks...

There are a couple Wasabi scam sites too, interestingly they have the correct Linux and macOS packages, only Windows is malicious and steals money.

"Only Windows is malicious" - when you're right you're right

Btw, did get a report on telegram from someone who loaded it in a VM: it is indeed malware, of course. And Windows specific. A Trojan according to the report from user L. H. on Telegram:
