What could possibly go wrong with casting a pointer to an integer and using that as the identifier of the object being pointed to?
Potential overflow and point to wrong spot

Overflow? How?
I meant to have a question mark at the end of that statement. I was surmising that the size of the pointer may be larger than that of the integer. Not an overflow thinking about it more but seems like it’d give bad results
