Got into a argument with my bestie about bitcoin. They kept saying that the government would shut it down soon. Shut down all the on / off ramps and it only has value because you can exchange it for USD.

I pointed out a lot of businesses accept it and more common in Africa and Central America. He said if you couldn’t exchange it then business owners would stop accepting it and you’d have to go to Africa to buy groceries.

We agreed to disagree but I was taken aback by there strong feelings about it.
