what do i mean, i mean people who are confronted with something and just say nah

dont need to have an society-measure of power, can be forcibly dragged across the atlantic, can be jailed, can be genocided, it's an internal thing

to say: i may be detained, sure. but you can't make a slave out of me cos no one is a slave. i may go along with this, for survival, sure. may humor this. may even act like i love this. that's called strategically buying time. slave? never. that's the truth.

when that kinda truth is on your side. when that kinda truth is burning inside. there is an effortlessness. like the physical laws of the universe. no one is out here making sure to add gravity to an apple core after they finish eating it right before they are gonna chuck it in the woods. no one has to pause and do a mathematical calculation to make sure gravity will find that apple core. worried that if they didnt that core could hover in suspension or drift upwards on a breeze as if it were a feather.

ya just chuck that shit and know it'll find the ground just fine without you. will probably bounce and roll and break apart a bit. isn't throw and trust. it's throw and know.

in basketball no one worries they might have to fetch the ball from the ceiling cos it turned into a balloon mid free throw.
