I read though some of the Tik Tok bill.. pretty interesting if applied to Nostr. I think the most they could do is ban clients and relays they deem as foreign adversaries. But it seems any social media app with a million users or more is subject to harsh regs. I didn’t deep dive, just browsed key points but seems like adversarial, or foreign controlled social media is about to get rekt if bill passes

The keyword here is “adversarial”. We can clearly define “foreign controlled” but who gets to identify a network as adversarial and what’s the criteria?

I hope this bill gets killed in the senate. It’s Orwellian.
