I think I read this articles 2 month back , and they have running the digital forensic to the journalist device .. if I am not mistaken

Was El Salvador a wonderful place for journalists before Bukele, when it was a socialist shithole run by murder gangs? Funny how there was zero coverage of that by leftist media at the time.

Groups like Human Rights Watch have been reporting on problems related to gangs for years. Just a sampling: https://www.hrw.org/publications?country%5B0%5D=9518

I think there's a good argument to be made that "gangs" are a frequent reflection of bad government policies, whether they come from Left or Right governments. Drug prohibitions, lack of rule of law, lack of opportunities for business creation, lack of rights of self-defense, etc... Poverty in general, all of these things contribute.

There's not some simple "liberal gotcha" here.

Glad to hear that about Human Rights Watch. I just never heard a peep from the media about El Salvador when it was ruled by socialists. Now suddenly there is a lot of pearl clutching about Bukele. I've noticed this trend. Horrible left wing governments get a free pass while they destroy a country while the right wing government elected to clean up the mess gets scrutinized.
