I'm thinking perhaps platforms do need a certain amount of growth/userbase which yeah you can get around, but is seriously damaged by this, it becomes too much hassle to get new users. Depends tho, if it becomes so prevalent, maybe the workaround usage becomes just as prevalent and normal? I don't know
Having to use new vpns cos some stop working, all this other faff trying to swerve the bill. To gain access to a nascent platform. At some point it'll be too annoying for a user nevermind trying to onboard a new user? That's a possible scenario.🤔
Sure it's possible but if that's happens it will hit bitcoin first 😆 financial power is more important than some dissidents on a tiny twitter clone
Tiny twitter clone = what THEY think 😁
Until an 'undesirable' online personality on their radar mentions it 🤔
No one send kanye a nostr cap FFS lol
Let's keep it like this 🙏

To be serious, I don't even think that would matter much unless nostr had the size of Telegram or similar, and we're far from that.
And for the record: Kanye is the first unlikeable person that came to my mind. Don't want this to be taken wrong. That mofo has blown all his fuses.

I can't predict the future but I think we're safe here for a while and won't see growth damage by regulations either. At the moment nobody has nostr on their radar (sad but true), and the protocol nature of it will be a mithril armour when shit hits the fan. At least that's what I think, and that's one of the many reasons I am here for.
