yeah DayZ is fun but it's a pain to get it working on linux, tag me if you figure it out because i just don't have the time for it now but if someone can give me a leg over i'll do the dance to make the thing work and thank you with some playtime

Unfortunately, I’ve just refunded it. 😂

I kept messing with the client settings, trying Direct Connect (did not work), installed the game on Windows, tried again… BattleEye anticheat “You were Kicked” on every single server. 😩

Perhaps they don’t like my network setup?

But whatever it is, awful client, I’m not wasting my time on that, build better games, damnit! 🙏

yeah, unfortunately that part of it put me off totally, i still own it but it's a real pain to get it set up to play, even, like you say, on windows

running your own server is the only way really, i think i was looking at cloud hosting services for it back when i was playing it a bit
