It would be something I could do much more immediately if these repellent pellet things don't work.

I'm just a little frustrated because I have to leave on a work trip Monday of next week and I won't be here to monitor the garden. My roommate will be watering but he's not going to put effort into keeping the cats away.

I didn't think the neighborhood cats would be this much of a problem, but it goes to show what I know. 😅

they do dig up the garden and poop in it and pee in it and that can be bad sometimes

when i had a lot of pot plants i found that those puffed ceramic balls were good to cause them to get distracted chasing the balls around. won't work so well with older cats but if there's a lot of them around it will at least distract the ones under 2 years of age

Inknow foil can work on counters but I'd be afraid of the damage it could do to a garden. I wonder if one of those fake owls would deter them at all.

Some people have suggested plastic fencing and I think the goal is just to effectively stop the cats from being able to scratch at the ground easily.

I have been debating getting one of those like sonic cat deterrents that are solar powered and they play a noise anytime a cat gets close to scare them away but considering most of these cats are bold feral cats I'm not exactly sure how well that would go
