Does #BitAxe have an issue with holding WiFi connection or does it simply reset frequently as part of how it operates?

My NerdMiner shows it’s been connected for 200+hrs whereas my #BitAxe devices all seem to reconnect from anywhere between 10 mins to a few hours usually.

It’s not such a big problem but it does reset my shares count per device which is a bit frustrating as I do enjoy watching the count progress.

Could it be a software issue with these devices?

All devices are up to date on 2.1.3

To be clear I’ve tried my own instance of public pool & the regular version of public pool to rule out that being the issue.

I’ve also tried using different dns setups & also completely removing anything that could interrupt a process such as VPNs/Network wide AdBlockers etc

The issue is still there (it may not even be an issue, it might just be how they operate) - looking for some confirmation from fellow #Bitaxe users.

Could it be something simple like accessing the AxeOS dashboard that causes the connection drops as this post suggested back in 2013?

Mine reset every couple of days. Up to a week or so

After a week of debugging everything I could think of & also trying a whole variety of setups - I finally have some Progress!

It seems Asus tends to automatically enable 'Protected Management Frames' whilst using WPA2/WPA3

WPA 2 Personal allows the PMF to be disabled & it 'MAY' have fixed it (still early but promising)

401's don't like PMF 🤣
