I like the idea of aliens and zombies, but what about an invasion of merman and mermaids.
For all we know they could be multiplying in the depths of the abyss, biding their time till their numbers would overwhelm us, ready to attack ships at sea cutting off supply lines, coming up through rivers, maybe even the water system.
