There’s something I’ve learned on Nostr, and it took me time to understand:

My greatest achievement here isn’t that someone wanted one of my paintings enough to make it theirs.

It’s that they trusted me.

Trust is worth more than ten paintings sold.

More than any number of zaps.

More than visibility or reach.

A painting can travel far.

But trust… trust is what lets it arrive.

yes, I guess our cultural assumptions hide much of what is trusted in our moment to moment, even just which side of the road or the turning on of a light. thou personally, I much prefer to be aware of all this, it is this that forms the foundation of my immeasurable gratitude

Thanks for your words πŸ™

AMAZING PAINTING!

I talk to my cousin often about buying a painting from you. To the point I'm pretty sure he bought one himself since I've been gradually getting him to understand Bitcoin for the last few years (I'm not sure which painting he bought, that's not the point)

Whenever I mention it to him I make sure to point out how crazy it is that without intermediaries, we made an agreement across oceans over nostr, settled with sats AND that I actually received the painting. It's still wild to me.

Your paintings are great, we both found this weird hole in the internet, and settled in the same international currency. I took a chance, I still had to trust you'd come through, and you did. To the point one of my family members trusted you and also found your talent worth the risk of just sending money to some random person in cyberspace.

Much love, and appreciation that you honored the trust of those that appreciate your art πŸ«‘πŸ€πŸ«‚

Thank you πŸ™πŸ«‚πŸŽ¨

Beautifully said - humble approach from a talented artist. Wow πŸ§‘πŸ‘

Thank you very much πŸ™πŸ«‚πŸŽ¨

Well said - I have experienced something akin to what you describe.

First the magic of peer-to-peer payment. And then a strong awareness that somebody see value in your craft and trust you to pack and send the item... Something sacred about that exchange.
