Run a straight Linux distro instead and just use that. It's not that hard and a much better skill to have and offers way way more control.

What software do you want to run?

Lightning node

Beyond that idk

Get a computer. Install Ubuntu or mint or fedora. Bonus points for just using Ubuntu server. Install them one by one. Not too hard and there are a ton of guides out there. Any computer will probably do for this but if you're running a lightning node, high uptime is a must so get something reliable. But spec wise, basically anything in the past 10 years can run all this ez.

Something like start9 server will be more expensive and harder to personalize but it's plug and play. Install apps, have web GUI configurations.

Tradeoffs.
