I’d say the majority of Americans don’t eat meat for most breakfasts, or protein for that matter either. I feel like it is only the past 5 years that more people here have started to eat a more protein rich breakfast during the week days. Personally I switched to eggs for breakfast at the beginning of last year, before I was eating a heavy carb oatmeal breakfast. Still as I said the majority here still eat mostly a heavy carb and heavily processed carb rich diet if they eat anything for breakfast. The zucchini bread definitely is not healthy, but at least it is homemade from whole ingredients and we only have it on the weekends until it’s gone. Actual meat for breakfast in our house is usually only a weekend tradition too, but thankfully the kids have begun to like to cook up their own eggs for breakfast the rest of the week instead of eating cereal, and they still like buttered toast as well, but we don’t generally have commercially processed bread either. nostr:npub1c8uwtcadjcahmavp83k757rug4cm0s2wqr6mfrv5p9289ayuecuq88wkyl bakes at least a couple loads of her homemade bread a week for us.

I also tend to bake my own bread and puddings, my friend. That's a great idea.
