Unless the relay operators run out of money and the ones left don't take your notes. Also there's no financial incentive. Just being realistic. It's cringy to see all these Bitcoin personalities preach their gospel.

Then pay for a relay, Damus purple, etc. be the change you want to see. There are many great paid options.

Kinda what I'm getting to. If I pay for one then it kinda ties my notes to that particular relay and their rules. If the one relay I pay for decides to nuke me. Then what? What about my content?

There are many options to account for this:

Can use Blastr to hit basically every relay of any size for free.

You can host your own or backup your content, which is very easy with Start9 or Umbrel. If somehow every relay nuked you then you lose nothing and can search for new relays that accept your notes.

Nuked relays often have little or no real effect. Will nuked the biggest Nostr relay (Damus) and zero notes were lost.

The upcoming outbox model also solves most of these concerns and is being adopted by basically every Nostr client.

Summary: you are never β€œtied” to just one relay or client. That’s part of the beautiful of Nostr being an open protocol.

A lot of artists aren't appreciated in their own time.

It's not always about getting paid, either. Expression can satisfy a number of internal desires.

I'd rather see these actual real human beings who can appreciate and empathize with OUR point of view, unlike many other sycophants who guide public discourse and pressures by posting on those centralized platforms who have nothing but indignation to pass along to their followers.

And, here you are complaining about a platform, from the platform itself. The fuck else have you done to improve your fellow humans place on this rock today? I bet you hate DOGE too, and probably sunshine. I'm sorry in advance, there isn't a 'Kick this puppy on your way out' box next to the door for you to enjoy.

Moving on to the cringe, evangelizing has been a thing for a couple thousand years. Please accept a suggestion, if I may offer it to you?

If you don't like the content then go somewhere else. You can unfollow posters you don't like, and that choice goes with you. Ultimately, this experience is one you need to make your own, and if you're just here to bitch at the wind, please GFY in the worst, most negative way possible.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I point out that relays aren't financially sustainable and that centralization is going to lead right back to censorship and you're on about kicking dogs and fucking myself? Did you take your medication today?

Stop making everything about money and payment; You might actually leave something about the human condition instead of bitching about it.

K.

If you don't like decentralization and everything else that comes along with it, you're in the wrong space I'm afraid.

I'd rather be amongst like-minded individuals who support an open, free model of exchange. Just because the content of their speech isn't something you necessarily agree with doesn't make it wrong. Again, you need to tailor your experience here.

I'd vote for nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx. I'd never vote for a life-long politician who only has their interests at heart and strives to maintain The Status Quo. The world needs outspoken folks who can actually drive change and upset the system and ultimately, The State's iron thumb rule. Whether you think he's acting like a preacher is largely irrelevant.
