As phone identities become merged into npubs similar to services like:

https://mysudo.com/

My identity, through services like nostr:npub1tm99pgz2lth724jeld6gzz6zv48zy6xp4n9xu5uqrwvx9km54qaqkkxn72 are now:

Email: mike@mikehardcastle.com

NIP-05: mike@mikehardcastle.com

Lightning payment address: mike@mikehardcastle.com

Phone identity: mike@mikehardcastle.com

Future:

Passport

Driving License

Bitcoin separates the state from money

NOSTR separates the state from identity

This is self sovereignty!

This looks interesting. Is it open source? Not dug into it too much yet but could be a bit of a honey pot?

mysudo, it's not a recommendation, just an indication that phone numbers are moving from the base layer of the phone to a disposable app that will become as relevant as faxes are today.

As for the service, I'm pretty certain it's not open source, but it is a service that focuses on privacy and allows you to create disposable mobile numbers, or segregated mobile numbers.

If you are in the US, Google have a free option, outside of the US, we have to pay for services like this.

For me, my NIP-05 is my primary phone number from now on.
