It's nice but when you compare it to local food... It's an indulgence for expats. 299 baht or about ten EUR whereas you can get a decent local chicken rice or rice with something on it for 60 or 80.

That and the bread is nowhere nearly as nice as the ones I had in Berlin and the doner is way too dry and bland (and healthy, again catering for the healthy metropolitan crowd)...

I feel you there Don. That's a big price difference and sometimes you want to indulge. The best Döner Kebab is 100% in Berlin and unbeatable, although I wasn't there for a while now.

Good though is that bread is generally very bad for you, it is lucky you have some great cheaper local options. Here the Döner is the cheap local option 😂
