Common on Twitter npub threads to see people say there’s nothing happening on nostr. Timbo here has 5X more followers than me but I bet this note will get more likes than his reply did!

The thing is, unless you make an effort to cultivate your feed, that would be your experience.
To the casual observer, nostr is a fail. Similar vibes to bitcoin.
Those that are most in need or who take the time to dive deeper, get it.
My advice to nostr tourists is to find #[2] & then go through his follow list to pick up a starting signal. Pick & choose those who you want to hear from.
You need a community same as anywhere else.
Some people want the algorithm to do all that for them. Suggest all the follows, push your content up etc.
That’s now how it works here. You have to provide value and engage yourself, you do that and you will find others willing to do the same and that’s much more enjoyable!

My entire twitter follow list (almost) is on NOSTR. It was an easy migrate for me. Rarely go on twitter now. My pure signal follow list just got a censorship resistant upgrade 💥⚡💜
