I haven't had a chiclet in like 30 years at least. My Papa always had the little 2 piece packs for his grandkids. That and rock hard licorice.
🤣 the old people were great! He saved them when he went to the bank, lol. I loved going with my mom to deposit dad's check on Fridays so I could get the gum.

Yes. I was lucky though, granny lived in a little guide in the same farmyard as me, so I saw her more than anyone. Lots of good memories.
I've tried making those gingersnaps. I can bake a lot of good cookies, but not those. I can't get the crisp outside with the still soft center. She was a master baker.
From what I've seen on GBBS they're tough to get right. I'm happy we live close to our parents so the kid gets to have tons of memories with them, but it gets on my damn nerves 😂
Granny was my paternal grandmother. She was quite particular about most things and it stressed my mother greatly 😅 Imagine your MiL living next door, and you live in her hundred years old house now 😬
