Definitely not capitalism. It is poor forest management.
Allow old growth logging and have 7 year controlled burns and the forests will come back to life.

It's hard to find a more clear and blatant example of the utter and eternal failure of socialism than the forest mismanagement we're seeing in California.
Forest management is not rocket science. The principles are perfectly known and not too complex. They've been established, refined and applied for hundreds if not thousands of years worldwide, in all sorts of climates and circumstances.
And still, the ideology-driven central planner political appointees at the California Politburo have consistently chosen not just not to apply them, but to implement measures that go against those principles and only aggravate the natural circumstances of their environment. As it always happens, without any known exception, with "central planning".
