Merkel was sucking up to Russia.
That's why she's mostly disappeared from public life, now. Everyone knows what she was about.
But that was obvious, when she dissolved the border and flooded the country with refugees. Only someone who wanted to damage the country would do that.
And yet they still get her out to propagate against afd when they need to. Like "what Merkel says still counts".
