Of course my old Dell laptop would come with exactly one fully cemented screw so that I cannot replace the damned battery. Never gonna buy a laptop from these anti-consumer corpos ever again.

Fast forward to 2025... most devices can't be opened any more without losing warranty or chipping the case. People just buy shit, use it, throw it away and replace it.

Thats the goal. First make them believe that what they own is worth nothing (2025), then make them own nothing at all (2030).

But hey, at least we now have a standard charging cable in the EU. The 12 year old USB-C will fix e-waste!

Yeah, lets go 😂. Regulation does fix everything 🐑🐑🥳🐑🐑 - sarcasm off 😬

Ursula's overregulation(s) certainly fixed innovation in Europe. It's non-existent at this point.

Can recommend #framework laptops if you are looking for an alternative

Thank you for the tip 🙏. Currently I have to look how I can even financially survive the next day, but if my financial situation ever magically changes I gonna think about it 😂.

A friend with stronger muscles than me was able to unscrew the thing 🥳, battery replacement done and all ready for a linux reinstall 🐧!
