if you're receiving to a legacy address aren't they still spendable with your priv key?

I tested it in an old blue wallet version and it does give you a legacy address that I think is not spendable. I never put money in it because I didn't want to lose sats. You would only be caught by this if you never check the receiving address because its completely different bc1q (segwit) vs 1 (legacy) prefix.
