To piggy-back: they are trying to map old, outdated, legacy, fiat principles on top of a protocol that was brought about to address all the aforementioned issues. It’s like painting an orange like an apple and trying to convince people it’s better than the orange and is actually an apple.

The fiat economy is based mostly on rent-seeking middlemen. Proof of stake attempts to apply this mentality to money. PoS will also discourage investment. It rewards people who hoard and stake their money. They have little incentive to deploy their capital when they can earn a risk free return through staking.
