So, I had my first interaction with an Al bot on social media, where it left a comment that sounded *almost* legit. I called it out ("Looks like Al still needs some work") and it was an immediate lengthy response, something akin to "yeah, you caught me" (you can read the thread on my last post).

It completely soured me on the idea of social media. After all, I'm here to connect with PEOPLE. Soon, if not now, we may not even be able to tell the difference (if not already) and be swayed and influenced to think in ways we never thought we would.

Living in reality and in truth is always a concern of mine. I hope it is yours as well.

don't be. there will be an evolution where we go to the bots for info that we can discuss with other actual humans. at 1st it might be hard to distinguish bot from human, but we will learn ways to identify them or ourselves or have the bot identify themselves. we'll have little icon verified human badges or some thing, we'll have apps that can block bots with bots. virtual battle bots will clean the interwebs as fast as other bots will release new improved bots. like email spam, it'll be a whack-a-mole problem. It probably will end badly of humanity, but we're going to kill each other before skynet does. so fear not. maybe the bots will prevent us from killing each other after all. one can only hope.
