It’s funny that none of the #nostr mobile clients have password feature when open the app!

This doesn’t answer your question. But you can lock individual apps with Face ID on #iOS18.

Clients should implement this inside their apps

💯

If you’re on iOS, you can lock it behind faceID. It’s an iOS feature so you don’t have to wait for developers to add it.

Also, it’s probably assumed that if you have the password or biometrics to gain access to the device, then you should also have access to the apps. At least that’s how Android handles it, iOS is a lot more strict when it comes to that. You can’t do anything of consequence on an iPhone without first passing biometrics.

It’s just on iOS (18)

But what about Android

Well, like I said, Android plays fast and loose with security once it’s unlocked, so you probably won’t find a native option. If you’re that worried about it, I am sure you could find an app on the play store that allows you to lock apps behind a password or biometrics.

I would do a google search and see what you come up with.

"I can't believe it's social media!"
