Generally I think it's due to the cost of manufacturing. Most of this stuff is made in the third world, and almost yearly they change the materials.
Compare that to say 80s/90s quality?
Yeah, you probably have a point. There was lots of panic in the fashion world when tariff talk was at its peak.
