Ya but NASA has cost the American people about 765.8 billion since 1958.
Everything has a cost.
If you truly think NASA was not worth the cost, you really have no idea what it has accomplished.
Think of all the impacts it has made from tech to materials, to science, to defense, and even to movies. Thinking of it like an expense account is incredibly short-sighed.
That's a lot of progress in other areas, a lot of jobs in other areas, national pride and purpose.
