Cool. Replacing the keyboard,Battery, RAM,and SSD are easy on them. Some models can support back-lit keyboards but do not ship with them. Many new computers do not even support back-liet keyboards at Walmart so that helped push me to refurb ThinkPads lol
Everyone hating on Ubuntu these days for pushing Snaps. Flatpak is much faster and better.
Other option would maybe to look into a Framework, but the 16" is not out yet.

They are pretty pricey. You are better off going with a new and well-known manufacture.
