Scarce things aren't automatically valuable. There are only so many authentic Reichsbanknotes, and while they do enjoy a little bit of value as collectibles it has almost nothing to do with the number of zeroes printed on their face.
If Peter is right and Bitcoin is eventually abandoned perhaps Bitcoin merch will have some nostalgic or educational value, but there will be no advantage to owning 1 BTC rather than 0.1 BTC
True, scarce doesn’t always equal valuable.
But nothing is valuable without one of its features being that of scarcity.
