Even when created with good intentions organisations seem to always eventually shift their efforts towards self-preservation rather than the organisation’s original purpose. The survival of the organisation becomes more important than its original mission.

Very true. People become dependent on the organizations for their livelihoods. We need organizations with contract terms and expiration dates.

In any bureaucracy, the people devoted to the benefit of the bureaucracy itself always get in control and those dedicated to the goals that the bureaucracy is supposed to accomplish have less and less influence, and sometimes are eliminated entirely.
That’s a big reason I’m an anarchist. It will happen to all bureaucracies whether public or private. Under those circumstances do you want a monopoly bureaucracy in any area?
