It’s been a weekend of goodbyes. Anyone have any movie or music recommendations while I’m in a melancholy mood?

The thrill of the plot might be dense enough to make you forget all that for a lil while IDK.

Watched it when it was new. Haven’t seen it years, so might be up for a rewatch.

I would've said Killing Eve first season if you're into Dexter-esque loveable killer characters and Phoebe Waller-Bridge writing.

Great suggestion. The first season is amazing! I should really finish the series. Maybe start over from the beginning.

Bad news is WB stops writing after first season and quality slips, still watchable though.

That’s a bummer.

That movie will make you sad if you’re not already.

That's subjective, tho. What a movie, a song, or any art can trigger depends on who is consuming it ☮️

That’s true. I just feel like as a filmmaker Lars Von Trier is excellent at pulling all the elements of film together to really create a mood. There are scenes from that movie that I’m recalling that just left me squirming in my seat a bit because they were unflinchingly uncomfortable. If it’s not evident I think Lars Von Trier is an excellent filmmaker. But a bit like Darren Aronofsky’s work I feel like I have to be prepared on an emotional level to experience them.

❤️ Bonus points that the song contains the line “Love is too plebeian” share the love #plebchain 💜❤️💜

Life is Beautiful (Orig. La vita è bella) (1997) ; American Graffiti (1973) ; Much Ado About Nothing (1993)

💜 I’ve never seen American Graffiti. I’ll have to give it a watch.
