What innovations around the Bitcoin system are you most excited about?

Since the beginning of 2024, there's only one word on everyone's lips when it comes to Bitcoin: its price!

The entry of the financial giants into the world of Bitcoin has changed the game in terms of demand, with an ever-increasing demand for BTC that nothing can satisfy.

BlackRock, Fidelity, and the other Wall Street giants are now approaching 4% ownership of Bitcoin's circulating supply.

In the face of all this excitement, some would almost forget that the price of Bitcoin isn't the most interesting thing in the Bitcoin world. The price of Bitcoin in weak money remains important to play an essential marketing role and help more people get interested in Bitcoin, but in the end, there's much more interesting when you've understood the why of Bitcoin.

That's why I'd like to talk here about upcoming innovations in Bitcoin Mainnet or the Bitcoin ecosystem. The following come to mind:

- BitVM, with the potential arrival of smart contracts in the Bitcoin world.

- Stratum V2

- Machankura

- Miniscript and all the innovations that will build on it.

- Future developments around the Lightning Network.

- Enhanced confidentiality with BIP 47 and BIP 324
