The alternative timelines would still not have done those things but also left Ross in jail.

Also, getting promises is a big deal because it starts normalising ideas in the political sphere.

All good. Ross being released was pretty much the only thing I cared about and, to be honest, it came at a big surprise. So yeah, we have to give him that. Outside of that, he's lining his pockets just like the last guy did.
