Peertube is not related to mastodon any more than they both leverage ActivityPub to some degree. I am not sure I understand your question though...?

Ah ok, thanks for elaborating. Well I guess you found me. I no longer walk with the fear of covid in me, but I have tremendous respect for it and recognize it's ongoing danger. I avoid discussing it on-line in forums. My intuition is that the topic has been coopted by opportunism and political parties, and thus 'doing my own research' is borderline impossible, because there are 106 angles and an over abundance of contradictory sources.
