this is a lightning channel open transaction i did CPFP by mistake on... it's coming on for 2 weeks and over 2050 blocks since i made it... i see it uses taproot, and i assume that those opcodes mean something in relation to the HTLC, in that, somehow in this tx code it basically says when it becomes spendable again and reappears as such in my LN wallet

#asknostr any lightning experts can you tell me what to expect? i assume that this transaction eventually commits, such that the two out points become spendable

not fun having a whole channel's worth of funds in limbo like this, but i certainly am not doing it again, but at the same time, not sure also what to do if a similar situation happens again - i CPFP on it because the fee rate went to like 8sat/vbyte for a day right after i tried to open it and the fee rate estimate was wrong

also, i think i could have actually RBF it and it wouldn't have failed to get recognised? idk... LDK is the node that runs on alby hub, i know for sure it doesn't like CPFP but maybe it also doesn't do RBF fee bumps either

i will make sure next time i do this that i check the fee market to make sure it's not looking like it's suddenly rising such that a fee rate will be miscalculated

I CPFP lightning channels all the time. I don’t think that is the problem, at least not entirely. RBF is definitely more of a problem. But I’d be surprised if LDK allows you to rbf a channel open tx.

So both the onchain utxo and the off chain balance are both unusable/invisible to you?
