3yo mantains hard eye contact, decides I'm still the mama and stops pissing me off. He's a pretty tough cookie, goes to play. Silence and calm.

5yo silently: "Frogs are nice. I like frogs. A frog would never harm you."

5yo breaths in.

"Why would you ever rip a live frog apart, mama? Why?" and looks at me like he just realized his mommy is the spawn of pure evil and disappointment.
