I’ve had a couple nephews in college the past few years and this has been my advice to them has more or less been a ripoff of the marshmellow test. Learn to withstand temporary pain for long term gain. 3 podcasts that focus on this, and I often refer to as “the Trinity”
(1) Jocko - constantly harps on short term physical pain for long term gain
(2) Piper - constantly hammers home the message that we just forgo earthly pleasures for a much greater glory
(3) Preston Pysh - really pick the bitcoin podcast of your choice, but teaching financial discipline. “Live like no one else now, so you don’t have to live like everyone else later” (prior to bitcoin, I would recommend Dave Ramsey)
