Property is important in sustaining life, a means to an end, to increase the likelihood of survival.
The man with a house is more attractive than the man that does not have a house. Put another way, the man with power is more attractive than the man with none.
A society that prevents the natural ability for a man to accumulate wealth is not worth living in. Hence long term all socialist societies therefore fail. Only a capitalist society has potential longevity as it supports individual property rights.
