I’m in the market for a non-fiat #coffee grinder, which would be awesome if it doubles as a food processor, or vice versa. Minimal plastic, preferably glass and metal wherever possible.

Won't be able to do the combo. Highly recommend a conical burr grinder. Most consistent grind. Stay away from blade grinders.
You can buy a great burr grinder for about 100 bucks...Capresso is a good value brand and I've had mine for over a decade.
