That may be a part, but the commercial displays are theoretically built for heavy use. Mine is rated for 16/7/365. I bought a gen behind on sale so the price wasn't too much higher considering the build quality and components. I'm sure they make some money by preloading apps and preventing others from being installed. Either way, it's retarded. I'll go back to not having a TV is I can't find a display. We did it for years until inheriting a smart TV that quickly broke lol
