Its not that I don't trust science.

I don't trust "scientists" to know the science or not be bribed to keep their careers afloat.

My childhood best friend became a micro-biologist.

His livelihood depends on "funding".

No disrespect to him, amazing and intelligent and accomplished person.

Just saying....

Totally agree!

Bitcoiners don't trust. We verify.

Maybe on Bitcoin, but science, many are NPC sheep and are hilarious to watch their beliefs being challenged.

Corporate monopolies over scientific research (especially medical)needs to be addressed big time.

The public losing trust is science is the result of the funding model.

Look to Cuba if you want a better model for health and education.

I remember when the scientific method was the cornerstone of science, especially these 3 steps:

1) the observation of phenomena, 2) the formulation of a hypothesis concerning the phenomena, 3) experimentation to demonstrate the truth or falseness of the hypothesis

Now its just showing a cartoon or cgi and people belive it. You ask for a practical demonatration and their brain explodes.

Lots of observation of the phenomena of funding

Also amazing how all of scientific history did not require "peer review", only replication of results, up until 60's or 70's.
