People are so excited about these "app prices" that they're ignorant to what those apps are actually doing. Saw it first recently at German supermarket chain NETTO and goes all the way to McDonald's and other stores / chains. Mr Netto is probably making more money on the consumer data than some of his grocery sales but hey, "it's cheaper".
