Isn't Apple required to open the possibility to sideload apps?
Also, there already is a way to circumnavigate iOS tyranny: Android.
googles a bit tyrannical themselves but yes android is much better

Android does not mean necessarily google. Look into iodeOS, GrapheneOSand the /e/ foundation.
exactly there is good forks, would be good if the whole thing could be wrestled far away from google
