Let’s say you do just that. It would look and feel almost the same as printing the shitloads of dollars for Covid relief.
Let’s say in the next round of the government printing trillions of dollars, that they dole out said reparations.
Is something magical going to happen? No, it’s a divisive, nominal credit of fiat that maybe makes a rent payment if you’re lucky, and in the end comes tied in a bow of massive government spending that further drives up inflation, ironically disenfranchising the individuals it seeks (however disingenuously) to “make whole.”
