In our evil modern world, it's a matter of choosing the lesser evil, and even needing to juggle between the four sins which cry out to Heaven for vengance.
In the past, most of my votes revolved around abortion. Nothing else matters as long as the next generation is slaughtered at a rate of another 9/11 every day. But now that Roe is overturned, that's moved to the State level, "downgrading" its importance for federal elections (at least for candidates who won't be aiming to "codify Roe").
None of the candidates today are going to oppose or do anything to ban sodomy/birth control, so that's basically irrelevant for now.
That leaves just wages and oppression of the poor as the big issues. Democrats *seem* to have an edge here.
But on the other hand, there's the gross overstepping we saw during the pandemic, as well as efforts to try to demolish even our most fundamental human right of self-defense/guns.
End result is that there's not going to be an easy answer in the coming elections. It's going to take a nuanced judgement of candidates on an individual basis, regardless of their party affiliations.
I lost all hope in third parties (at least in the major elections) after they failed to even get a noteworthy vote during Clinton vs Trump.
